Terms of Use
Last updated 25 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Evens on iPhone, iPad or the web. By using Evens you agree to them.
What Evens does
Evens records shared costs and works out who owes whom. It never moves money: payments happen outside Evens, and marking one as paid only records it. Balances are only as accurate as what the people in a group enter.
Your account
Keep your sign-in to yourself. You're responsible for what is added from your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app.
What you add
What you add stays yours. You let Evens store it and show it to the people in your groups so the app can work. Don't add anything unlawful, or anything you don't have the right to share, and don't use Evens to harass anyone. You can block people, and Evens may remove content or close accounts that break these terms.
Evens Pro
- Pro is a subscription, monthly or yearly. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
- On iPhone and iPad it's billed through your Apple account, under Apple's terms, and renews until you cancel it in your Apple account settings at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- On the web it's billed through Stripe and renews until you cancel it in Account, Manage subscription.
- Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow Apple's rules for App Store purchases, and the law where you live for web purchases.
- Everything made with Pro stays readable if Pro ends.
Availability
Evens is provided as it is. It may change, pause for maintenance, or occasionally be unavailable. As far as the law allows, Evens isn't liable for indirect losses, or for decisions made from balances in the app. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version goes on this page with a new date. Big changes are announced in the app.
